Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Gi and No Gi?

Gi Jiu Jitsu requires a uniform. The uniform consists of a gi jacket and pants, along with a ranking belt.

No Gi is preferably practiced in rash guards and shorts. Spats are allowed, we ask that shorts be worn over the top.

What do I need to bring to class?

We always recommend bringing your own water bottle.  Clean, intact gear is required, as well as a clean uniform or clothing.

Where can I purchase gear?

Bridge City Fight Shop, located in Tualatin offers a 10% discount to Impact Sherwood Members.  Available for purchase is all gi, no gi, kickboxing and striking gear.  If you purchase gloves, handwraps are required. This is our number one suggestion. There are online purchasing options; make sure to check reviews on merchandise delivery.
